Personal Statement
I have played basketball at the varsity level for my entire high school career. As a sophomore and junior I have started every varsity game. This past season I was a Team Captain, Most Valuable Player and 2nd Team All-Continental League. The recognition from league coaches was especially rewarding since this league has won the State Girls Basketball Championship for the past eight years. I have also been a starter for the past five years for the Colorado Hoopsters Club/AAU team. I currently have a 3.74/4.0 GPA while taking Honors and AP Courses and was recognized as 1st Team CHAA All-Academic. My ACT score is a 27 Overall and my SAT score is a 1,220 Composite.
I have worked very hard as a student to prepare for college and I have worked very hard to continously improve and grow my basketball game. If the past is any indicator of the future, I hope that you will see that I have the drive and ability to succeed at the next level both as a student and as an athlete. It is my goal to continue to play basketball at the collegiate level. |
